Thursday is the Fourth of July! Time to celebrate freedom, America and a sincere love of BBQ. If I had to guess, I’d say that the Fourth was Harvey’s favorite holiday because it means spending all day out in the yard, a fireworks display (which he is surprisingly not afraid of at all) and the potential for a dropped burger or two.
Get out there this Fourth and celebrate your heart out! I hope it’s a safe and patriotic holiday for all.
I’m currently writing to you from an adventure. Yes, an adventure. I decided it was time to take these freelance wheels out for a spin and attempt to work from the road while still experiencing some of the joys of an untethered career.
I decided to go freelance last October in order to truly find a balance between work and life, with a splash of adventure. And I am happy to say that on this first attempt, I could not be more thrilled and appreciative for how far I’ve come.
Yes, the work is still there (not quite ready to retire yet), but the joy of the adventure helps to offset the daily grind. I know it may not be possible for everyone, but I truly hope you all find a happy balance between work and adventure and remember to get out there and see something new…as much as possible.
More to come on my journey in the coming weeks, but for now, I hope it is a thought full weekend for everyone!
There is no shortage of amazing footage and captured moments of the Beagle. With those droopy jowls and floppy ears, these pups sure know how to take a decent photo.
The above photo is of the fantastic Laura Carignan’s (of Lulu Dee) Beagle, Morgan. I’ve followed Laura’s (but mostly Morgan’s) daily happenings on Instagram for a while now and became smitten with Morgan’s irresistible ears and sympathetic eyes.
So in honor of the oh-so-photogenic Beagle, I thought I’d round up some awesome swag to pay homage.

My apologies for not posting this past week….or into this next week. I am off on an adventure and timing has been a bit tricky.
So while I am away, I hope you’ll follow along on Instagram (@HouseofHarvey) where I’ll definitely be posting some fun pics, past and present, for the next couple of weeks. I’ll be popping into the blog to say howdy and share some fun shoots we did too, so stay tuned!
P.S. Are you and your pups frolicking in the grass now that summer is here? GO DO IT!!!
It’s tiki time!!! We are celebrating a lot of things here at our House as of late, so we decided to have a tiki party.
Is there a more fun theme for a festive outdoor fiesta? We think not! In the end, Harvey was a little pooped out, so he decided to ‘tiki’ a nap….it had to be done.
