If there is one thing I get a little out of control with my spending, it’s gotta be eyewear. I just can’t get enough. Lately I’m going through a cat eye phase. I’m really digging the hollywood glamour of the look, and Mr. Harvey agrees (he’s been known to channel Elizabeth Taylor from time to time). Here are just a few styles catching my “cat” eye these days.

As a child growing up in Chicago, I couldn’t wait for the first snow fall. I would spend hours on end snowball-throwing, snowman-building and snow angel-making, only going inside for a quick snack and a dreaded pee break (it was always a hassle undoing your snowsuit and the many layers beneath it). It was the most magical time for sure.
Now as a Cali resident, I don’t get to experience those whimsical winter days, frolicking through the snow for hours on end, as I did a carefree kid. There is still something about being in and around the snow that brings me back to my childhood.
So I’d like to dedicate this knit pom pom hat roundup to all of those adults out there who daydream of snow angels and epic snowball fights. Keep the winter spirit alive!

While I am not trudging through snow and sludge out here in the west this winter, I do have a sincere appreciation for a good, rugged boot. Here are just some of my current favorites.

Mr. Harvey lives for a nap on a shag rug. As I write this post, he is lazily wasting away his day snuggling his nose into the shaggy fibers of my bedroom rug. What can we say, we love to be cozy…and take naps.
With the cooling weather, there is nothing more that I want to do but get cozy on the couch with a good movie and a throw blanket. Mr. Harvey is the quintessential cozy creature, so I know he would appreciate one of the following blankets covering him as we relax together.
Which is your favorite?
A cape is a must for this winter. A few years back, my grandmother knitted me the most beautiful cape I’ve ever seen (you can see it being donned by my fuzzy pup) and ever since then, I’ve been obsessed with capes.
So this winter, (as it FINALLY cools down here in LA) I plan on strutting around town in one of the above capes. (P.S. That last cape is WELL over my budget, but how fabulous is it??)
Man do I love a good office supply. As a kid, all I wanted to be when I grew up was a desk owner. I didn’t care what profession I landed as long as it required a desk with many, many supplies. (irony alert: I hate desk jobs…ha!) Today, as I start to organize my home office, I can’t help but scour the web for the best (and most fun) in desk supplies.

I’ll admit that I am not as big a music buff as I once claimed to be. At one point in college, I was downloading music like CRAZY. (Oh the days of Napster…) As of this summer, I have jump-started my passion for new music and have decided to invest some more time and money into finding and listening to great tunes. Thus, I am in the market for a pair of new headphones. Which do you like best?
WARNING: This post is MIGHTY expensive. It’s one of the downsides of photography: the equipment will cost you. And even though I could never truly afford to buy any of these fabulous cameras, a girl can dream via her blog.
Whether just looking at them from afar (sigh) or making the big splurge, you can’t deny that these cameras are designed to perfection.

For the past five years, my bedding has been winter white with a spot of muted blue and navy. I love it, don’t get me wrong, but I am seriously craving a pop of color. And since Mr. Harvey now considers my bed his own bed (this won’t last long, I assure you), I thought we would reinvent my bedroom style.
