House of Harvey for blanketID

I fell in love with blanketID when I saw a fun collaboration between them and the amazing Dog Milk a few months back. I was thrilled to see that there was brilliant design going on, with a wonderfully helpful product (blanketID tags act as a lost pet tracking system with unique ID numbers on the back of every tag!), and a charitable component too! It was a trifecta of pup goodness!

So when blanketID asked me to be a part of their Donation by Design collection, I just couldn’t contain my excitement! Harvey and I quickly hit the sketchpad, coming up with several ideas for our very own House of Harvey dog tag designs….and here is what we ended up with…

House of Harvey for blanketID

Our goal was to create some playful and vibrant dog tags that any dog/dog owner would love to showoff at the dog park. We were looking to achieve a sleek, yet whimsical design that would work seamlessly with any collar pairing. They are just faboo in our opinion! (I’ve always secretly wanted to be a fashion blogger, so here’s my chance to throw out things like “work seamlessly with” and “sleek”….just go with it…)

And being a “Donation” by Design collection, a portion of all tag sales will go towards the charity of my choosing, which happens to be Best Friends Animal Society of Los Angeles. It has always been my goal as a dog blogger and dog lover to help spread the word about dog rescue and give back to those who so willingly give of their time to help the homeless pet population around the world.

Donation by Design Tags

Since we are so over the moon about this fun launch, I’ve decided to give away a selection of Donation by Design tags, including our brand spanking new House of Harvey designs to SIX lucky winners!

All you have to do to enter is…

1. Leave a comment sharing what kind of “style” your dog would have if they could have a style. Is he/she a mustachioed hipster? Or more of a 50s glam goddess? You know you’ve thought about it before, so go on and tell me what you think!

I will announce the SIX lucky winners on Monday, August 5! Good luck and don’t forget to check out ALL of the wonderful Donation by Design tags HERE!

Now for the not-so-fine print:

  • I will be selecting the winners based on favorite responses…creativity counts!
  • You are allowed only one entry per person.
  • The giveaway will run from July 30 – August 4, 11:59 pm PST.
  • No P.O. Boxes…sorry.
  •  Once the winner has been announced, they must email me at with correct shipping information in order to receive their prize.
  • Tags will be sent at random, so no picking and choosing…sorry. But you could always buy your favorite and donate to a great cause!
  • I wasn’t paid a cent for this promotion.  I just believe in great products.
  • No purchase necessary
  • Void where prohibited.

  • Jarissa

Louie would dress like the Eleventh Doctor – red bow tie, brown tweet jacket, blue slacks, and he would traverse space and time. He’s that clever.

  • Jenny Walter

Bella would be a Yooper lounge chair people watcher. She loves to be outside, especially at camp in Upper MI. She would also choose to sit instead of walk and watch people go by.

  • Melissa Dailey

Our Husky Shilah just recently had eye surgery on both of her eyes as a puppy. We think she is the “Diamond of Our Eye.”

She is hoping to win one of these beautiful tags!

  • Justin

My blue eyed dog is always a “Blue Winker!”

  • Jana

I wish I was as creative as those tags are cute! :)

  • Amy Hoskins

My black Miniature Schnauzer, Ellie, has a very preppy puppy style! :)

  • Joanne Light

well, my Golden Retriever “Douglas” would be a kind of laid back hipster. Down for anything, by willing to lay around and do nothing also. Wants to be in style, but not too worried about getting messy either!

    Have a wonderful day!

  • Sarah Goehringer

My dog would most definitely be preppy. Main Line pup all the way.

  • Suzanna

My dog is a squat little pit bull/dachshund mix who would, naturally, abhor all things tunic. Wanting to show off his bodacious (and extra long) bod, he’d be sure to rock tight fitted shirts that show a tiny bit of midriff — both because he probably would have trouble finding weiner-length tees and also because he’d be proud of his doggie-one-pack. After all, it’s one of his strongest features. I feel strongly that he’d also be slightly geeky, in an endearing way and that he’d wear a beanie cap with a small brim. He’d probably like biking too, in a non-athletic sort of way and would be a big fan of converse sneakers. In short, he’d be a wonderful hybrid of dork, over-confident gym rat and lovable tub tub.

I love this product and design!!

  • Brittany

My chocolate lab Indie is the sensitive I-love-animals, rebellious fight-the-status-quo, health conscious my-body-is-a-temple yoga-esqe kinda gal. A little crunchy but always a good time. She would love one of these bad boys to keep her safe while spreading the love and the health.

  • Linda Vince

My dog is very feminine. She would love something girly.

  • Stacy

My Weim would be an English princess. She is very prim and proper, and hates to get messy or wet. She thinks that she should not have to sleep on the floor like other “commoners”, but rather on the master’s bed.

  • Ruby Bed

Our dog Amba is attitude personified. He is all about “talking” and comes with his own set of gestures, eye & head movements to play your strings. The best though is that if you know LMAO’s song “Sexy and I Know It” .. this is how my dog lives his life.
Give him a little attention and he will perk up his head, plump out his chest and add a little wiggle in his walk just because he knows you are gonna like what you see!

  • Christina Novicki

My dog Colbert pretends to have a conservative style!

  • Allison

My pup, Owen, a Rhodesian lab mix, would probably be dressed a khaki loving, pocket protector nervous-nelly. He’s a great dog but loves his routine and everything the same every day. So I picture him as someone very organized ad neurotic, but we still love him anyway.

  • Kris

Nicholas is a small guy with a big attitude Shih Tzu Chihuahua mix he’s pretty sure he can take on the world and win. I imagine him in biker leather, a tough guy with a soft side!

  • Ryan

Bentley would dress like an adventurer, maybe like Indiana Jones or Amelia Earhart. He likes to explore and get into mischief, and has no fear. He would certainly benefit from some safety goggles.

  • Denise

My Beagle Casey would be dressed as Snoopy’s alter ego the World War One Flying Ace. I think of Snoopy because when kids see Casey out for her walks, they yell out “There’s Snoopy!”

  • SheSpeaksBark

My little pomeranian Scooter would look so dapper in one of these blanket ID tags.

I love them all of course, but especially the yellow one. The dog in the bowtie just kills me- and that’s why Scooter would be so proud to wear one!

He’s handicapable as we say, and it would be just one more thing we could talk to people about when they stop to pet him and ask all about him ;)

  • Dorene Ramirez

My baby would love the red background with the dog pic! Or the dog house colorful tag or the diamond lol

  • Dorene Ramirez

I forgot to add! His name is Bandit he’s a Lhasa Apso rescue dog, he also won two years of blanket id membership added onto his existing one for his photo that will be on your Facebook cover photo!

  • Kelly Ann T.

Artie would be a 60′s free spirit. He loves to dress up and go to all the pet events. I can see him all decked out in fringe and tye dye. He would look good in leather too.

  • Anathalia

Our little rescue mix would definitely be a street bum! He is always laying around and dragging blankets with him to his bed. He likes the warm spots in the house and always look at us with those adorable begging eyes wanting to be pet or be given a treat.

  • GangsOfNewYorkie

Steve is a over active, messy cool geek & Darla is a showgirl with the grace of an albatross :-)
