A WISH FOR THE NEW YEAR

And I’m back.

That long hiatus from the blog was much needed, let me tell you.  It was getting to a point where I began resenting the blogging process and just needed to stop,  reflect and make some changes.  And now here we are, ready for some change and a new year.

If you are anything like me, sometimes you need to stop everything you are doing (and I mean EVERYTHING) to just sit for a moment and really let your thoughts come through clearly and precisely. While I will admit that this 2 1/2 weeks was not nearly enough time to truly formulate my ideas, I do have a better idea of what I want House of Harvey to be and where I see it going in 2013.

So not to make this so longwinded and overwhelming (like I feel many New Years posts can be), I just wanted to say thanks for sticking by throughout these growing pains and I hope you stay around for what is to come in the new year.

Here’s a sneak peek:

• More original content.  Yes!  I have felt like such a regurgitator of the web/other blogs for a while now, and I am ready to step up my game to bring you more original content.  It might not all come at once (it takes time of which I don’t always have), but it will be coming and I can’t wait to share!
• More non-dog columns. I love adore dogs. We all know this.  But my intentions for the House of Harvey brand have not always been solely about dogs.  I’m a mixed bag of interests and we are going to branch out a bit this year and bring you some all around goodness and whimsy.  Get ready!
• A refreshed look.  The site will be getting a bit of a facelift.  I am a creature of constant change…the Madonna of blogs if you will.

It’s gonna be a wild ride…let’s have some fun!
